Hello! I’m Dana!

I am a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified intrinsic coach. I specialize in assisting families with their eating behaviors in order to develop a long lasting positive relationship with food.

I offer a variety of content on my blog about feeding children of all ages as well as helping parents develop healthier relationship with food.

I am a weight neutral, non-diet, health at every size dietitian!

This means I work with families on how they are eating, rather than focus on short term, quick fixes. I will never recommend a diet for you or your children.

For families looking to dig deeper into their issues with food, my online consults allow us to work together one on one to really explore what is getting in the way.  Families with picky eaters, inconsistent growth (both poor weight gain and accelerated weight gain) as well as disordered eating will benefit from these consults. Adults who want to help repair their own relationship with food in order to help their own families find the the one on one consults essential.

I have completed and intensive training with Ellyn Satter and focus on the trust model of feeding and eating. As Ellyn Satter says, “When the joy goes out of eating, nutrition suffers.”

I believe in order to feed your children well, parents must have a good relationship with food. I offer an introductory program for parents trying to end their own struggles with food and dieting.

My Training and Background

I developed and ran an award winning weight neutral, non-diet program for children in the Mercer County area. Prior to opening my private practice, I was the sole dietitian for the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, providing nutrition services for military members and their families. I also, trained and worked in local teaching hospital.

I have my undergraduate degree in nutrition and completed my post graduate internship. Through my training as a Certified Intrinsic Coach I have learned to work with clients right where they are. Training with the trust model of eating and feeding provided me the base work with my health at every size and weight neutral approach to helping both adults and children repair their relationship with food. I have also done additional training with Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size.
